Tranquil
Chimes singing
birds and their coos
I’ve got no troubles
I’ll sing no bluesNo love in my life
but that serves me fine
I love myself first
we speak of divineCandle flame flickers
in mulberry scent
No worries of tomorrowI’m in the presentiTunes envelop me
and carry me away
from Percy Faith to Hendrix
they all had their daySleeping in luxury
cat lies across chair
mewing in dreams
seemingly without a careClay class was really fun! Did around 3 bowls, but put the clay back in a bucket. Next week I will try a creation. Would love to have a form that would pour raindrops down in bowl of rocks. The teacher was very interesting, and helped a lot; as well, he had some helpers for us. Loved getting to clay on my hands, and in my fingernails and jeans. This class is a joy-used an electric potter’s wheel, which really helped.
Wish I could have my own potter’s wheel, and be able to afford all of the clay and glazes!
There is ‘open studio’ thru the high school, maybe I could check into that-if the cost isn’t too much. Our pool is still closed for reconstruction. They want to put lights in; get this, we can’t swim at night anyways, and the pool could use a heater instead. The water stays cold all summer. I might, though think of filing a ‘rent escrow’ for time lost in the pool.
My outer panes of glass are still not fixed, from a storm of 2-1/2 weeks ago. Mgmt says they have to order the glass, hmmm…must be a special order? Most of my flowers are flourishing, and the morning glories are coming along nicely, hope to have some flowers before the end of the growing season. I have heard morning glories re-seed every year-is this true? How long will they re-seed themselves?
I have been keeping busy, thanks to a daily planner I have; I’m more on the ball than ever, with keeping up with housework and extras. I used to be pretty lazy, but now I want the place picked up. My daughter is not much help, especially now that she’s out of school for the summer.
Hope you are all well and happy!
I love you!!

No love in my life…that phrase really filled me with sadness.
At my old house I planted some morning glories about 12 years ago. They keep coming back, but a little less of them every year.
LOVED the poem!
I’ve never planted morning glories and every year they come back in the same place by the front porch.
Playing with clay is fun. I made a few things years ago in college. I still have two oddly enough.
I hope they get that pool fixed pretty so, after all it is just about summer time.:sunny:
That was a very fine and truely tranquil poem! :goodjob:
Hey! It’s seriously been a while.
That totally sucks about the pool!

“….in the present.” Best place to be. No other place possible, really.
That was a beautiful poem! I loved it!
That’s neat your taking pottery. I took a small
class eons ago and loved it. I’d loved playing with
the clay and it was fun. I was horrible at it though,
and all my pots were half cracked, or crooked.
lol! Hugs, R. Hood

heh my daughter actually makes me more work
Love the poem. Good luck with the pool. The clay class sounds ideal for you and I’m glad you’re feeling productive. And good luck with your daughter through the summer at-home months.
On my way to Dollar General I saw an arbor with morning glories growing over it and thought how beautiful that was!! Good on you!!
I always thought it would be fun to learn ceramics. Those big pots would take a lot of work, wouldn’t they?
~What a beautiful poem!!! What a treat to have you back~Dear Writer!!!
Must get cruising for now…Wishing you a fun ‘n fanciful Friday…(((Angel Hugs & Love…)))~The Island Concierge~.
I am sad about Tim Russert, too…I can’t imagine anyone who could fill his shoes…~. IF I was home Sunday morn.~I always watched, Meet The Press…I espec. loved it whenever Mary Madeline & James Carvelle were on!!! Smiles! That marriage totally intrigues me…~.
The wild ones are invasive but hybrid morning glories do reseed each year. Just take out some of the small plants if you don’t want more. Judi
Oh I like the poem a lot. I love you Laurie, Judi
