I am an empath and naturally psychic. About five years ago, I actually sought help from an intuition specialist to help me control it. Before that, I picked up too much stuff and it negatively impacted me. I’ve since learned how to only read people when they give me permission or on a need-to-know basis, such as in dangerous situations.
ryc: Since that post, we’ve had more than another foot of snow and it is still snowing. I love it.
I have the hardest time getting those silly quizzes to translate well on to my site. Did not find that one but the one I did find was funny….and appropriate???? LMAO!!!

Friday night about 11:30 PM I heard a girl’s scream. When I heard the second one I got up and looked out my window. Three children were out and sledding down the hill. Silly.

:heartbeat: i guess you know I am a chronic depressive as well. I live in today for tomorrow is up for grabs. I have never quit trying, tho. Not yet and I am 77 years-old. The latest is a project I took on because the pain in my right side was driving me nuts unless I took the focus off and redirected. I made a “serenity spot” in one end of this room. I would say it is about 9″X10′. I got a very plain love seat with a lovely mocha psuedo suede cover and plaing wooden arms and placed it in the center. It faces fireplace and the mantel contains some Indian artifacts I love…but just a few. Overhead is a handwoven rug from the Osage. Each side of the fireplace has books and a part that has small pictures of all I love and have passed and my wonderful wooden statue of Jesus. I declared this a clutter free area and each morning I do a meditation…just for me. Then I have my talk with Jesus. It doesn’t make the pain go away, but it makes it bearable. I have had a frightening weekend in that the arthritis that afflicts my right side is starting up on my left side. Right away I think, “What am I going to do if it gets as bad as the right, I won’t be able to even brush my hair.” Uh oh! That comes under “what if” and was a strict no no in AA plus “yeah, but”.
Your weight. Two things I do. I start with cans of chicken noodle soup and add my own veggies. Presently it is chopped up broccoli. I eat it for lunch and in between when I want to snack, I go to the kitchen and sip a cup of it. Other snacks that I love, if I absolutely can’t do without them, I never put the whole pkg by my chair. I portion out some and put the rest away so that I have to dig it out again. Presently I am waterlogged and weigh a lot so I don’t step on the scales right now. When my rings become loose on my hands, then I will step on a scale. Otherwise, I feel helpless and hopeless.
I hope this helps, Laurie, for you were always there for me and I will never forget that!
