  • No Complaining!

Elder’s Meditation of the Day –
    March 23
“We must relearn how to cry. A strong man cries; it is the
weak man who holds back his tears.”
    –Archie Fire Lame Deer, LAKOTA
Indian men and other men should really meditate on this Elder’s
saying. So many men have been taught it is unmanly to cry, to show emotions or
to feel. When people cry, the Elders say there are two types of tears – one type
will taste salty; the other type will taste sweet. One is caused by pain, and
the other is caused by the release from the pain, or joy tears. A strong man
knows himself and knows his relationship with the Great Spirit. The release of
tears is a spiritual act. Our bodies are designed to cry. We should honor our
bodies and use them as the Creator intended.

Great Spirit, Grandfather, today, teach me to cry.

    Taking a short break-

    have a happy day!!

    I love you!!

    EDIT:

Try going for 21 days without complaining!
Maybe, it will become a habit!

  • Hope you’re having a Happy Easter!

RYC: There were lots of folks in robes, talking of meditation and Earth forces. I had my tarrot cards read and she was wayyyyyy off base. It was almost like a mini flea market, people had tables set up selling incense, incense burners, jewelry, and even mini-buddhas. It was interesting but they came off as being a little flaky. One thing about it though, they were all very happy people.

  • with this late season snow and slush and…knowing your feelings about it….if you make it a month, i’m gonna cry.

    have a nice break, laurie.

    :sunny:

  • We all need a break sometimes.  Enjoy yourself!

  • That is a wonderful quote. I hope you enjoy your quite time. 21 days . I am on a mission to be more positive, but to participate in your challenge I would have to think before I spoke. Now that is a challenge for me anyway! LOL So, no complaints! Starting Now, or maybe Now.

  • Happy Easter to you :) xoxo Tynee

  • Only women bleed…complete non-sequitur

  • If you figure out how to not complain for that many days…you HAVE to share your secret with me….I really need to do the same as well!

  • Hope your day is going well.

  • 21 days without complaining! Holy crap!

  • RYC: Tammy is due in June :) No I did not bring a date, I would never bring a date to a family function unless I had been seeing him for a while. I never introduce dates to my family unless I think they would be a keeper. Even then it can cause some havic as my grandbabies will not respond in a happy mood if they know I am seeing a certain man cause then they see me leaving them to go out on a date with the man and they don’t like that LOL I have not dated for awhile now, I don’t have the energy most times to date and be with my grandchildren so I pick my grandbabies over dating :) Hope everything is going ok for you over there :) xoxo Tynee

  • Strength in tears…interesting theory.

RYC:  I’m better.  The final section of the story is posted.

    HUGS!!!

  • Did you have a nice Easter. Judi

  • Gotta love the EMoD’s always seem to be just what I need to hear.

    Have a wonderful week . . . . Blessings

  • Yes! Brisket! Yum! MmMmMmMmMm!

I hope you had a great Monday!

  • You’re uncanny, Laurie. You so often seem to feature thoughts related to my own. Crying tears of joy has been on my mind lately. I don’t know why exactly. I just know it’s something men can’t do without being misunderstood. It’s harder to do than to cry tears of sadness. And the moonlight was georgeous last night. I’m not complaining…

  • Have you seen that Friends, when Rachel is dating Bruce Willis and he doesn’t show emotion, so she starts trying to get him to… and eventually breaks him, so he cries about something in his childhood…and then he’s like a broken dam and he won’t shut up???? LOL… this came to mind with the man crying thing.

I think men should cry when its appropriate, but not be like weepy little weirdos..that would freak me out… but even female weepy little weirdos freak me out… so… LOL.. maybe its just me. :)

  • Hey, my Easter was great!

I never knew that red wine went so well with

    chocolate!  Lol!!! Lovely!!! :littlekiss:  Sunsetheart

  • I am not sure laurie you had a happy day last Sunday . You lived probably in the memory of your dear departed . I understand this . But it is not sure after all . Perhaps you found the way to look after your own heart with a bit of hope .  This is my wish .

    Love

    Michel
